Extreme poverty in Nigeria is concentrated in one profession: farming. Over 80% of farmers
live in absolute poverty, agriculture has become unattractive to rural youth due to the poor
conditions and Nigeria spends over 6 billion USD annually to import food which could be
produced locally.
